I guess I’ll see you later

John 11:23-27 23    Jesus said to her,”Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, 26    and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” 27    She “said to Him,…

Just something to think about!

Just something to think about!

I have had a lot of time to think and pray lately. I have seen and heard so many people say that they are Christians, but their mouths and actions say something else. In Matthew 3:8 “Therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance; and in James 2:20, “that faith without works is dead.” We can not get saved by works (we are saved by grace through faith)  but it’s that fruit that we bear…

“Once we agree with God that we exist for His pleasure and His glory, we can accept whatever comes into our lives as part of His sovereign will and purpose. We will not resent, resist, or reject the ‘hard things,’ but embrace them as friends, sovereignly designed by God to make us like Jesus and to bring glory to Himself.”- Nancy Leigh DeMoss Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;…

Are You Prepared to Die?

Are You Prepared to Die?

From Spurgeon’s sermon, “Are You Prepared to Die?” As the bridegroom longs for the marriage day, and as the bride waits until she is joined unto her husband in wedlock, even so our spirits wait for God. As the exile pants to be delivered, and the galley-slave to be separated from his oar, so wait we to be set free for glory and immortality. As she that mourns her absent husband pines for his…

The Golden Chain of Redemption

Just something to think and meditate on. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also…

Speaking of Paul Washer, who she heard for the first time ” Who is this guy, he can preach, only if our pulpits were filled by passionate men like him who fears God more than man” Joanne Walts (my mom) Please continue to pray for my mom, her cancer is spreading quickly and she is…

The power is not in the methods or the means

The power is not in the methods or the means

You know, the Church started out with a Bible, then it got a hymnbook, and for years that was it-a Bible and a hymnbook. The average church now certainly wouldn’t be able to operate on just a hymnbook and the Bible. Now we have to have all kinds of truck. A lot of people couldn’t serve God at all without at least a vanload of equipment to keep them happy. Some of these attractions…

Jesus Died-Paul Washer video

Loved before time! Jesus loved us before the world was. He is no new lover of his people’s souls, but he loved them before the day-star knew its place, and before the planets began their mighty revolutions. Every soul whom Jesus loves now, he loved for ever and ever. What a wondrous love was that — infinite, unbounded, everlasting, which led him to bear our sins, and suffer our penalties, that he might redeem…
