Sanctity of human life Sunday was this past Sunday and I can’t help but to think about the disabled people in my life, like my brother Joey (someday soon I would like to introduce you to him) and my friend’s son who attends our church.
My friend Matt told me recently that 1 out of 88 kids are born with some form of Autism, I was shocked… That’s why I appreciate my church on this issue because we’re going in the right direction. I couldn’t help but hear and see Jack as the speaker this past Sunday talked about abortion, to hear him (Jack) was music to my ears and to see him standing (because Jacks not sitting folks) up front was wonderful and just the way God wants it and that folks is a beautiful thing!
The words in this video are from Joni Eareckson Tada, she also writes the forward to this book from Michael S. Beates Disability and the Gospel: How God Uses Our Brokenness to Display His Grace. I have not read it yet, but I plan on adding it to my list of must reads.
Jack you are fearfully and wonderfully made!
and that’s a beautiful thing!
Soli Deo Gloria
