That’s the question I heard from a morning radio announcer yesterday while I was getting ready to leave for work. He was announcing the local news and saying “firefighters responded to a fire at the Little League field concession stand as it was set on fire and caused $2000.00 in damage”… He went on to say “What’s wrong with people… What is wrong with people?”
Ooh-ooh-ooooh… I KNOW!
In Adam we all die! Romans 5:12 and they as I was, are spiritually dead Ephesians 2:1. But In Christ we consider ourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:11. You see sir, they need the Spirit of God to save them from themselves, because alone they can do nothing John 6:63. They need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, they need the Spirit of God to come down from heaven John 3:3 and cause them to be Born Again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead 1 Peter 1:3
They need faithful Christians to witness to them Matthew 28:19, they need bold saints to be able to say “repent and believe” Mark 1:15. They need Christians to be ready to make a defense for their hope and joy they have in Christ, yet with gentleness and reverence 1 Peter 3:15. What do people need? They need to see Christians conducting themselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ Philippians 1:27 and not being conforming to this world but being transformed by the renewing of their minds Romans 12:2.
What do people need? They need to hear the gospel Of Jesus Christ because it’s the power of God for salvation Romans 1:16. You see sir, faith comes by hearing a message about Christ Romans 10:17… Because there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12
What’s wrong with people?
They lack Christ… they need to trust Christ and Him alone!
That’s whats wrong with people!
But there’s Hope!
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
and that’s a beautiful thing!
Soli Deo Gloria
