I remember a man saying to me “Lenny you’re not a robot”. I have come to learn in my study that when Arminians and those who adhere to Free Will use the word ROBOTS, they really need to realize what they are saying.
I thought I would share what I have learned. I had read an article from someone and wished that I had written his name down to give him credit for helping me, I remember reading this about the word robot.
“The word robot comes from the Latin word orbus which carries with it the meaning of orphan. The word has been around since around 1923. The word orphan dates back to the Fifteenth century and, obviously, carries with it the meaning of a child without parents normally because of their death… Look at Psalm 68:5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. (NIV) God will be a father of the fatherless. Who are the fatherless? The Christians have God as their Father (Abba Father) Romans 8:15, but the unbelievers do not have God as their Father, they have Him as their Judge. This means that the unbelievers are orphans. Which means they are the robots.”
Merriam-Webster Dictionary: Robot
- A machine that looks and acts like a human being.
- An efficient but insensitive person.
- A device that automatically performs repetitive tasks.
- Something guided by automatic controls.
“We now have a modern definition of a robot, which is a device that automatically performs complicated often repetitive tasks. Unbelievers go from sin to sin which means their lives are sin. A robot does that which is repetitive. An unbeliever is one who sins repetitively. A person addicted to alcohol drinks it repetitively making them a sin robot. A person addicted to pornography is a sin robot. A person addicted to anything is a robot because they continue to do the same things repetitively. So those who are in an unsaved state are the robots of society since all they know and do is SIN”.
That is not to say that Christians do not sin, because we do and we will. The point is that when our lives become filled with sin habitually day after day, week after week, month after month like a robot repetitively. We are not being controlled by the God of the universe but Satan and the truth is not in us. Paul would say we must examine ourselves and test our faith 2 Corinthians 13:5 to see if we pass the test.
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:5-10
Then we have The Puppet Argument! I really love what Pastor Jim McClarty says in this video below.
Abraham Kuyper said this “I want you men to know what Jesus Christ is going to do when He comes back. He is going to stretch forth his hand and grasp everything that is and He is going to say “mine mine mine mine mine.” It’s all mine; it’s always been mine; it was created for Me, for My glory and for My good pleasure and the only ones that are going to enter into the heavens are the ones who have realized that from the start. “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is sovereign over all, does not cry: Mine!”
Someone is pulling your strings either way, Satan or the God of the universe. I feel so blessed that God saved me and keeps me and soon I will see Him in glory.
Who’s pulling your strings?
He is going to say “mine mine mine mine mine.”
and that’s a beautiful thing!
Soli Deo Gloria
