Ravel-Pavane for a Dead Princess

This is a beautiful piano piece that I played on my recital.  It was later orchestrated by Ravel, which is also very nice.

Theme and Variations

A while back, I posted my theme and said that I would be completing variations on it.  Well, I am finished finally and I thought I would post all of them at once.  This was the project I was working on this semester with my private composition lessons.  The task was to write an original theme and then do several variations on it.  My professor and I decided to make each variation correspond to a different musical time period, hence different writing styles.  The first variation is based on the Baroque era (think Bach), the second is based on the Classical era (think Mozart), the third is based on the Romantic era (think Beethoven or Chopin) and the last is 20th Century (think Philip Glass).  Hope you enjoy and Merry Christmas!
